AuroPro's core desktop record keeping and reporting run locally on the school computer. This allows school-office work to continue without an internet connection, while optional messaging and online backups use external services.
What works locally?
The Windows workspace brings together student records, academic administration, attendance, fee records, inventory and supported reports. School records are held in a local SQLite database with supporting photo and receipt assets. The school remains responsible for protecting the computer, Windows account and data folder.
Local operation does not mean records are automatically copied to another device. If the computer or drive fails, a usable recovery copy is essential.
Which features need a connection?
SMS notifications
Sending payment texts or school campaigns needs an internet connection and a configured, funded SMS provider account.
Google Drive backups
Uploading encrypted recovery copies needs Google account authorisation and internet access. Automatic daily uploads run while AuroPro is running and the required connection is available.
Android Hubs pilot
The separate connected pilot needs a compatible school service and the same trusted local Wi-Fi network. A Wi-Fi network and an internet connection are different requirements.
Remote access
Internet access to the application and live cloud synchronisation are roadmap options, not features included in the public Windows trial or current Android pilot.
Plan recovery before live use
Create password-encrypted local backup archives and keep a recovery password in an appropriate safe place. Configure optional Google Drive uploads if required. Review backup results and test restoration into a separate test workspace; an untested copy is not proof that recovery will work.
Application permissions control normal use of AuroPro, but do not prevent someone with direct access to the database file from inspecting it. Restrict physical and Windows account access and protect exported reports as well as backups.

- Which Windows computer will hold the school records?
- Who is responsible for checking backups and keeping recovery information?
- Do staff need desktop access only, or a separately arranged Android pilot?
- Which SMS and backup services are included in the agreed setup?
- How will the school confirm its data is preserved before an upgrade?
